Below average temperatures, and the potential for more active conditions are ahead in your Friday forecast. Valley locations have dipped into the low to mid 60's for most of the valley, and mountain areas are starting out the day in the low 50's to low 60's. Afternoon high temperatures will climb into the mid 80's in the valley this afternoon, and into the low 70's to low 80's in the mountains. Scattered showers, and thunderstorms will be possible throughout the day, but the best chance for active weather will be ahead for the latter part of your Friday afternoon. Winds will be out of the South to 15mph in the valley, and out of the Southwest to 10mph in higher elevations. This afternoon's thunderstorms could coincide with heavy precipitation, so make sure you're careful on the roads today.
Temperatures will become slightly warmer through the weekend, but are expected to be below average through the start of next week. There will be a slight potential for active weather lingering in the mountains on Saturday, before that tapers off on Sunday. Sunny skies, and much warmer temperatures are ahead for the bulk of next week. Valley locations will climb into the mid to high 90's by Tuesday, and mid 90's to low triple digits on Wednesday. I hope everyone gets to enjoy these very comfortable temperatures while they last, and has a fantastic Friday!
