Construction projects in Butte County will result in temporary road closures and travel delays on several roads beginning next week and continuing into winter.
The road improvement and bridge replacement projects will be done on Bureau of Land Management public lands throughout the county.
People traveling on Doe Mill Road in Butte County will face delays and closures as a road improvement and bridge replacement projects are set to begin Monday August 18. The road, also known as Ponderosa Way, will be closed from 8 a.m. to noon and 1 to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
A temporary closure will be in place at the Butte Creek Bridge off of Doe Mill Road from August 18 until December during construction of a new bridge. Highway 32 and Skyway Road can be used to access the east and west side of the Butte Creek Bridge off of Doe Mill Road.
In addition the West Branch Feather River Bridge on Jordan Hill Road, approximately two miles northeast of Skyway Road, will also be closed to all traffic from mid-August to December.
