Investigators still have not concluded why a FedEx truck slammed into a bus carrying high school students more than a year ago, killing 10.
Documents released Wednesday by the National Transportation Safety Board show conflicting accounts of what happened before the fiery collision last April near Orland.
The NTSB released thousands of pages of records in its investigation. The board has not reached any conclusions about the cause.
One passenger on the bus says the truck driver was slumped over before the crash. The documents say the truck driver, 32-year-old Tim Evans, appeared to be healthy and wasn't on the phone before the crash.
Witnesses say the truck gradually crossed the median before crashing.
The bus was heading to a college tour at Humboldt State University.
NTSB officials say analysis of the crash should be released this summer.
