After Aldon Smith was released by the San Francisco 49ers on Friday, reports emerged that indicated Smith might have had an on-field altercation with Colin Kaepernick this week, an altercation that might have played a part in Smith's arrest.

According to Kaepernick, those reports aren't true.

One of the reports, made by, indicated that part of the reason Smith had been arrested is because he vandalized Kaepernick's Mercedes.

Kaepernick shot that theory down on Friday.

"I don't drive a Mercedes, let's put it that way," Kaepernick told the San Jose Mercury News after practice.

Smith's agent also shot down that story.

There was also a report from TMZ that didn't say anything about a car, but it did say that Kaepernick and Smith got into an "altercation" Tuesday.

Kaepernick wasn't asked about that report, but wide receiver Anquan Boldin was and Boldin said the report is false.

"There was no fight out here," Boldin said. "I don't know where that comes from."

When told that the report came from TMZ, Boldin laughed, "You all listen to TMZ? Boy."
