Cold Nights Continue

It was a chilly start to the New Year, with some Valley lows (Chico and Marysville) in the 20's this morning! Redding only dipped to 45, thanks to a continued north wind. That wind has finally subsided, and that will allow Redding and Red Bluff to join everyone else in the Valley with cold temperatures tomorrow morning!

The Jarbo Gap winds should be about as strong as they were last night again tonight, and mainly localized near the Feather River Canyon. Yankee Hill, Concow, Jarbo Gap and Paradise (near Pentz Rd) will notice breezy conditions after Midnight.

Otherwise, mostly sunny skies will continue through the weekend as the storm track will remain well to the north of us. Models are hinting at a weak storm breaking through the ridge late next week, but it won't have much rain. It will, however, raise those overnight lows back up.

Happy New Year!
