While not as strong as yesterday, north winds were still gusty today around the North State with 25 to 35 mph gusts. These winds will diminish overnight in the Valley and shouldn't return for a while. The Jarbo Gap winds will blow near the Feather River Canyon tonight, about as strong as last night... and that should be the last night of them.
With the wind subsiding, Valley temperatures will get cold tonight. Look for lows in the upper 20's to low 30's... coldest in wind sheltered areas, like the east side of the Valley. We'll stay clear and cool through the weekend, with those overnight lows continuing to be at or below freezing... Bundle up if you're going to be out and about at night!
Happy New Year!
