We enjoyed nice weather around the North State on this Friday, but big changes are coming our way. A cold storm will arrive just in time for Easter!
The gusty winds from the past few days shut down today, and we enjoyed a very nice day. A cold storm from the Gulf of Alaska approaching us will spread clouds over us by later tomorrow, which will cool us down a bit. Light rain will arrive on Easter Sunday, making those Easter egg hunts a bit wet. It won't be an incredibly wet storm, but we can expect about 1/10" to 1/4" of rain in the Valley on Sunday.
It is a cold storm, however! Snow levels will start around 4000' on Sunday and drop to near 3000' by Sunday night... Low for April!
We'll see a bit of a lull on Monday, with only an occasional stray shower possible... not much, but still chilly. A second surge of light rain (with similar rainfall amounts) will arrive on Tuesday, with those snow levels staying near 3000'!
The cold low will move east on Wednesday, and we'll see high pressure return which will slowly warm our temperatures back up to near normal by the end of next week.
But before that happens... plan on a cold and somewhat wet Easter Sunday!
