Cleveland Cavaliers apologize after video sparks outrage

The Cleveland Cavaliers are apologizing for a video that played on their scoreboard during Wednesday night's playoff game.

The video depicted what many see as an act of domestic violence, and was played to a packed house at the "Q" arena during last night's playoff game against the Chicago Bulls.

The skit begins with a man wearing a Cavaliers t-shirt and woman wearing an apron beginning to dance to a song from the movie "Dirty Dancing."

But when it came time for the big lift move at the end, the woman had taken off her apron to reveal a bulls t-shirt. Instead of holding her over his head, the man threw her across the room.

The video cuts to the couple on a couch, the woman now wearing a Cavaliers shirt and holding an ice pack on her head, she says - "well, I'm all in now, let's just watch the game."

The team released a statement today saying the skit was meant to be funny, but that "it was a mistake to include content that made light of domestic violence"...and apologized to the community for the insensitive content.
