Clearing skies, and warmer temperatures are ahead for your Wednesday forecast. Showers have continued in the Northeast corner of the state overnight, but are tapering off this morning. Smoke from several fires burnign in the region will continue to impact air quality. The worst air quality will be in the areas surrounding Hayfork in Trinity County. Temperatures are starting out in the low to mid 60's in the valley this morning, and low 50's to low 60's in the mountains. Afternoon high temperatures will climb into the low to mid 90's for the valley, and into the low 80's to low 90's in the mountains. Winds will be out of the Southeast up to around 10mph.

Temperatures will continue to heat up on Thursday with valley locations topping out in the mid 90's to around 101 degrees. There will be a chance of showers and thunderstorms returning Thursday night into Friday, before dry conditions return for the weekend. Mild temperatures will be ahead for the weekend forecast, with low to mid 90's projected for the valley. I hope everyone enjoyed the wet weather we had yesterday, and has a wonderful Wednesday!
