Mostly sunny skies, and slightly warmer temperatures are ahead for the north state on this Tuesday. There is a slight chance for some light showers in the Northern Mountains, but the rest of the region will stay dry. Temperatures are starting out in the mid 40's for the valley, and will be climbing into the low to mid 70's this afternoon. The Northern Sierra temperatures fell into the high 20's overnight, and Northern Mountains dipped into the high 30's. Mountain areas should climb back up into the mid 60's to low 70's this afternoon.
Warmer temperatures, and cloudy skies will linger into your Thursday forecast. Showers are still expected to arrive on Halloween, but the models aren't agreeing on how long they will persist. One projection has thunderstorms lasting into the evening, while the other offers a dryer picture in time for trick or treating. Snow levels will drop down to around 4000ft overnight on Friday, with lingering mountain showers on Saturday.
I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!
