City of Oroville aims to increase the size of their docent program

The City of Oroville is looking to increase the size of their docent program. The docents are volunteers who help facilitate Oroville's 5 museums.

Those museums are the Nature Center, Bolts Antique Tool Museum, the Chinese Temple, the Lott Home and the Pioneer History Museum.

Docents say the program is very rewarding. With the number of people signing up to volunteer decreasing, museum hours may be cut short. The docent program is only an 8 hour per month obligation.

If you're interested in the docent program, you can sign up at the City of Oroville's website.
