Some City of Chico employees will soon be without a job, after a new round of layoff notices were sent out as the city tries to close a $15 million budget gap.
This time, 11 city employees, mainly from Public Works and Community Development, are expected to lose their jobs 30 days from now.
Six more employees are keeping their jobs but at a reduced pay.
The cuts are expected to save the city between between $600,000 to $1 million dollars this current fiscal year.
These cuts follow 19 layoffs in July.
