With butane honey oil labs exploding across the North State, officials with the City of Anderson are asking for some input on how to handle the problem.

The city will host a town hall meeting at 6 p.m. Wednesday at the Martin Lither King Center on Sheridan Street.

Panelists will include police, firefighters, Shasta County Board of Supervisors members and city council members from both Redding and Anderson.

The Anderson City Council recently passed an ordinance restricting the sale of butane within city limits. The new law only allows businesses to sell two canisters of butane at a time. The ordinance goes into effect Friday.
