The 11th Annual Christmas Tree Auction to benefit the Torres Community Shelter takes place in Chico Saturday, December 7, at 6 p.m. at the Chico Masonic Family Center, 1110 W. East Avenue.

Seven beautifully decorated trees will be auctioned off, with home delivery. There will also be a silent auction, bountiful hors d'oeuvres and desserts, and a no-host bar.

Music will be provided by the Christine LaPado-breglia Trio and Sounds of the Valley Chorus-Sweet Adelines.

Tickets are $35, available at Christian & Johnson and Zucchini and vine.

A record 729 homeless people were served by the Torres Shelter last year. The organization helped 301 of them make the move out of homelessness, and into a home.
