The non profit that has been working to clean up Chico transient camps was honored this week by the Chico City Council and the State Legislature.
The men of Christbridge Ministry were presented with the City of Chico Mayor's Achievement Award for Outstanding Community Service at Tuesday nights City Council Meeting.
They also received Certificates of Recognition for dedicated service to the Chico community from Assemblyman James Gallagher and Senator Jim Nielsen.
And Christbridge Ministry was honored with a Senate Resolution as well.
The Ministry is an addiction recovery program.
The men who were honored are Chris Massey, Marquez Bass, Jason Daugherty, Jake Hughes, Brent Deniz, Jonathan Baird, Taylor Hammond, Pete Brocklesby and Christbridge Director Jim Secola.
Secola is organizing a community cleanup of Lindo Channel from First Avenue to Highway 99 this Friday, March 20th, starting at 9 a.m.
