The California Highway Patrol is hoping to keep kids in cars a little safer, by educating their parents on the right way to fit a child into a safety seat. They set up at the Orland Fairgrounds Saturday morning. More than 30 parents passed through to get their child fit for the right seat. Almost every car seat the officers came across had to be thrown out. This year they used part of their grant money to purchase 20 new car seats for families who can't afford to buy a new one. The CHP is always available for car seat consultations.
