A Chico man accused of causing a fatal crash on the Skyway January 12 had a blood alcohol content of .15 at the time of the crash, California Highway Patrol investigators say.

51-year-old Jonna Therese Smith of Chico was killed when the Dodge Neon she was riding in, driven by Richard Wilson of Chico, traveled down the wrong side of the road and slammed into a Toyota Prius.

CHP investigators say there were alcohol bottles and a strong odor of alcohol coming from Wilson's car and the District Attorney's office has now filed a charges of vehicular manslaughter while driving under the influence and felony driving under the influence causing injury against Wilson.

Wilson is expected to enter a plea next Thursday.
