A popular restaurant chain has completed phasing out genetically modified ingredients from its food.
Chipotle says it's removed all genetically-modified ingredients from its menu.
That includes corn used in its tortillas and chips, as well as rice and salsa.
The Denver-based chain had already been using mostly non-GMO ingredients, but said in late 2013 it was working on transitioning to a tortilla that did not use them.
The burrito chain's chicken and pork still come from animals that eat GMO feed, but its beef comes from pasture-raised cattle.
Chipotle says the move has been years in the making, as it had to wait for new GMO-free crops to be planted and harvested.
