Black Friday was chilly and a bit windy. The winds will diminish this weekend, but the cold weather is sticking around!
Sunny, windy and cold on this Black Friday around the Valley. The winds have diminished (although the Jarbo Gap winds will blow overnight on the Ridge, through the Feather River Canyon), but the cold weather is sticking around through the weekend. Clear skies through the weekend will keep it extra cold at night!
We'll start to moderate it a bit next week as the flow comes in from the central Pacific. A weak storm will bring us clouds Monday and Tuesday, but no rain.
Another storm may bring us a few showers on Wednesday, but not too much.
The biggest storm of the week looks to arrive Thursday. While I wouldn't call it a big storm, it's certainly larger than our most recent storms. It's warmer as well... although snow levels could start pretty low with cold air trapped in some mountain Valleys. But this storm should eventually scour that cold air out, and snow levels will rise. It's too early to talk specific rainfall amounts, but this one definitely has potential to be one of our wettest of the season... so far.
