Skies turned sunny today around the North State, and we should have clear skies for New Year's Eve tomorrow! A major pattern change will happen next week however, and plenty of rain is in the forecast.
A weak storm swept through the North State Tuesday night, but it dropped only a few isolated showers overnight, and sunshine returned today. We'll stay sunny again tomorrow, and it will be COLD for New Year's Eve! Look for Valley temperatures in the mid 30's at the stroke of midnight Thursday night, along with clear skies. High pressure will hang tough over the west coast through this weekend, although it will start to weaken by Saturday.
Clouds will return this weekend, but no rain. The jet stream will undercut high pressure in the Pacific and slide into California by next week, and it will bring multiple storms with it... Next week is looking wet! The first significant storm is due in on Tuesday, with more heading our ways after it. Get ready for wet weather next week!
