A large national restaurant chain served more than just food and drinks Sunday.
In honor of Veteran’s Day, Chilli’s Grill and Bar hosted an event to raise money for the Wounded Warrior Project.
To show their appreciation for servicemen and women, Chilli’s donated 10 percent of net sales to the organization.
“It's the most important thing a veteran can get when they come home is somebody to tell them, 'welcome home, we appreciate what you do,’” said John Jellison, a Vietnam Veteran who lives in Chico. “I just wish that more big corporations got into it like Chilli's is.”
Chilli’s is offering free entrees to veterans and active military personnel on Veteran’s Day.
