Anderson Police are investigating the injury of a child, in an apparent fall from a Jeep.
It happened Thursday at 7:20 p.m. in the area of Balls Ferry Road and Gateway Drive.
A resident called police to report witnessing a child lying in the road near a Jeep Wrangler. The witness saw the driver pick up the childand place him in the jeep ... and the child was crying and appeared to be injured. She followed the jeep to a home in Anderson where she say the child place in another vehicle, which then left the area.
Police contacted local hospitals and met withe the parents of the child ... who were distraught. The child's father said his son was secured in a booster seat in the front passenger seat of the vehicle, and that his son fell out of the vehicle as he was making a left turn from Gateway drive onto Balls Ferry Road. He and the boy's mother then took the victim to the hosptal ... where he is being treated for moderate injuries.
