The worst-case scenario for the Chiefs with Jamaal Charles' injury is unfolding. Charles suffered a non-contact knee injury during the third quarter of Kansas City's Week 5 game against the Bears.
According to Andy Reid, preliminary reports show it's a torn ACL for Charles.
After Charles' injury the Chiefs offense completely fell apart, with Kansas City ultimately losing to the Bears 18-17.
Charles previously tore his ACL in 2011, missing the majority of the season. He returned in time for the 2012 season and posted three-straight seasons with 1,300 yards or more from scrimmage.
If the subsequent examinations confirm an ACL tear, the 1-4 Chiefs are in real trouble.
