Wednesday's verdict in the trial of Dzhokhar Tsarnaev brings a range of emotions to so many Americans shaken by the events of the Boston Marathon Bombing. It hits close to home for Chico runner, Melissa Stearns. In less than 2 weeks she'll return to Boston to take part in the 2015 Boston Marathon.

Her first time running the marathon was struck by tragedy, when two years ago, a terrorist attack struck just 14 minutes after she crossed the finish line.

Melissa tells Action News Now that this verdict brings her a sense of closure.

Stearns will return this year along with two other Chico runners who were there that day. This will be her 3rd time running the Boston marathon. Melissa is fund raising for the marathon to support our local "Girls on the Run" program.
