Chico Woman Arrested for Two Hit and Runs in Paradise

A Chico woman is behind bars in connection with two hit and run crashes in Paradise that sent several members of one family to the hospital.
Paradise Police Officials say 33 year old Jovanah Raquel Solano was driving under the influence of alcohol and drugs when she crashed into the first car at the intersection of Bille and Pentz Roads Just after six p.m. Friday night. Investigators say Solano had first tried to run the car off the road.
Police say she then left the scene and just minutes later … more 9-1-1 calls came in reporting another hit and run crash at Pentz Road and the Skyway.
Based on witness descriptions, officers spotted the suspect vehicle parked nearby on property along the skyway. They say Solano was inside, trying to avoid detection.
The couple involved in the first collision declined medical aid, but a mother and two children involved in the second crash were transported to the hospital complaining of pain.
Solano was booked into the Butte County jail on Felony charges of Hit and Run causing Injury, Assault with a Deadly Weapon, and Resisting Arrest.###
