A Chico woman was arrested early Friday morning when she allegedly rammed her car into a police cruiser, and then bit an officer’s arm.
Chico police were flagged down on the Esplanade, near Degarmo Park, around 12:45 a.m. The reporting party told officers a woman was sitting in her car and repeatedly honking the horn.
Officers approached the woman, later identified as 44-year-old Lisa Scott, and she refused to get out of the car, and showed signs of drug use.
Without warning, Scott reportedly put her car in reverse and backed into a police car. An officer tried to reach inside the Scott’s and turn it off, but she bit the officer’s arm, drawing blood.
Scott was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence of drugs, felony assault on an officer, and resisting arrest.
The officer received treatment at Enloe Medical Center and was able to finish the shift.
