An Olivehurst man is behind bars, accused of taking an unconscious college student from Chico to Olivehurst and then raping her.

According to the Yuba County Sheriff’s Office, the 20-year-old victim told deputies she had been drinking in Chico on Friday night, but woke up in an unknown house to find two men sexually assaulting her.

On Saturday morning, the woman left the house on foot and flagged down a citizen who called 911.

The woman was able to identify one of the alleged rapists as 28-year-old Sakhone Phianemanh, and Yuba County deputies arrested him later in the day. He has been booked into the Yuba County Jail on suspicion of rape and forced oral copulation.

The second alleged rapist remains at large and the investigation is ongoing.
