The Chico State women's soccer team knocked off Dixie State 3-2 at University Soccer Stadium on Saturday.

True freshman Carlie Reader's second goal of the night in the 84th minute proved to be match-winner for the Wildcats, who led 2-0 before Dixie State fought back to equalize.

Reader, out of Roseville High School, also assisted on the 'Cats first goal in the 28th minute, ripping a shot on goal which was poked away by Dixie State goalie Danica Nusnik before Pooja Patel buried the rebound into the net.

Patel and Reader have been a nice one-two combo for the 'Cats. Through four games, Reader has two goals and two assists, while the sophomore Patel has two goals and one helper.

Chico State (2-1-1) is back in action next week, hosting California Baptist Thursday and Dominican University of California Saturday. Both matches will kick off at 7 p.m.
