The beautiful site of University Stadium was on display Friday night as the Chico State track and field team hosted their annual Chico Distance Carnival.

A couple Wildcats stole the show.

Ayla Granados captured first place in the 800-meter run with a PR time of 2:11.73. It's the second-fastest time by a Wildcat ever in the event.

Taylor Sack also etched her name in the record books with the seventh-farthest javelin throw in Chico State history, 129-feet-05.

Sack finished the event with a fourth place finish.

McCall Habermehl was also a winner Friday, taking first place in the 3000-meter steeplechase with a time of 11:35.13.

The Wildcat women’s track & field team is right back in action Saturday, competing in the Chico Twilight Meet at University Stadium.

Field events begin at 2 p.m., with the first running events starting at 4 p.m.
