Giordano Estrada, a senior transfer from Sacramento State, led a late Chico State surge to help the Wildcats beat 9th-ranked Seattle Pacific, 73-70, in the finale of the 54th annual Mac Martin Invitational.
Estrada poured in 10 straight points to turn a three-point deficit into a seven-point lead with 1:27 to play and the 'Cats held on for the victory.
Estrada, named the Mac Martin Invitational's Most Valuable Player, finished with a game-high 19 points, including 5-of-9 from beyond the arc.
Jordan Semple added 14 points and a couple blocked shots. Rashad Parker finished with 12 points, Sean Park scored 11 to go along with a game-high nine rebounds.
Chico State (4-1) is back in action next weekend for a pair of California Collegiate Athletic Association road matchups at San Francisco State (Friday) and Sonoma State (Saturday).
