A Chico State alumna who has climbed over many obstacles in her life is still struggling to overcome new ones and is reaching out for the public’s help. 25-year-old Chico State grad Briana Beaver has been very ill since she was ten, and last year she came very close to dying. She has a neurological disorder which unfortunately costs a lot of money for treatments and her insurance doesn't cover it.

Beaver’s mother drives her at least twice a week to San Francisco for those treatments. She says according to her doctors her future is looking bright she just needs to hold on.
