Chico State completed the ALS ice bucket challenge, the wildcat way, today.
And while no ice was involved, around 100 Chico State students and faculty, including President Zingg jumped in the WREC outdoor pool this afternoon.
They also raised more than $300 for the ALS cause.
Chico State's student body president said this was a great way to wrap up Labor Day weekend.
"We've done a lot of work to try and move Labor Day away from being the huge kind of party weekend that it is," said Associated Students President Taylor Herren. "It's cool to see that one, not only are we getting people off the river, but students are down to do good things and kind of give back on day that's traditionally been known as one that's maybe not our proudest."
Chico State has challenged Sonoma State, Humboldt State, Sacramento State, and UC Davis to complete the ALS ice bucket challenge.
