Chico State baseball team falls 4-1 on Senior Day

A tough year ended with a loss for the Chico State baseball team.

The Wildcats dropped a 4-1 decision to Cal State East Bay in the regular season finale Sunday at Nettleton Stadium. The Pioneers took the series winning three of four games.

Ranked No. 8 in the nation in the preseason, the Wildcats finished 18-25 overall and 17-23 in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

Chico State's 15 seniors were celebrated during pre-game ceremonies. It was Little League at the Nett and several youngsters were in attendance supporting their beloved Wildcats.

Look for Chico State to get back on track in 2016.
