Hundreds of local ag students made their way to the Chico State Farm Wednesday for a career fair.
39 agriculture companies were on hand for the tenth annual event... That was open to students from Chico State as well as Butte and Shasta colleges.
The companies varied from cattle ranches and chicken farms, to banks and the U.S. Forest Service.
Organizers say the ag industry has been growing despite the weak economy.
"Agriculture has been a bright spot in the economy, so there are a lot of jobs and there have been throughout the recession," Sarah DeForest with the Chico State College of Agriculture said.
Many of the companies were looking to hire graduating students.
There were also dozens of internships available for younger students.
