Chico residents are outraged after a memorial honoring Kristina Chesterman, the Chico State nursing student struck and killed by a drunk driver in 2013, went missing earlier this week.

The "Ghost Bike", honoring Chesterman was put up in 2013 on Nord Avenue, about one month after she was struck and killed while riding her bike home from the Chico State library.

Well known Chico personality and pedi-cab driver Mike G tells Action News Now he believes the "Ghost Bike" was stolen. Mike G filed a police report as soon as he learned the bike was missing, and says several people told him the bike had been tampered with recently.

Anyone who finds the "Ghost Bike" should contact Chico police.
