Two Chico residents, accused of holding a 15-year-old girl against her will and then forcing her into prostitution, were arrested in San Luis Obispo earlier this week.

Fabio Silveira, 20, and Brianna Morales, 20, are facing charges of human trafficking and criminal conspiracy after they were arrested at a San Luis Obispo hotel Tuesday.

San Luis Obispo police responded to the hotel, acting on a tip from the Manteca Police Department, and found the 15-year girl alone in one of the rooms.

Police say the 15-year-old had been traveling with a 16-year-old, who along with Silveira and Morales, had been forcing her into prostitution throughout San Luis Obispo County since July 25.

Silveira and the 16-year-old were arrested when they returned to the hotel. Morales was arrested during a traffic stop nearby.

The victim has been reunited with her family.
