Chico will be joining thousands of other cities across the nation for a night out tomorrow night.

The 30th Annual National Night Out will be held in the Oak Grove Picnic Area of One Mile from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. National Night out is a year-long campaign to engage citizens in local anti-crime programs, increase crime prevention, and strengthen relationships between neighborhoods and law enforcement agencies. Park staff and city officials will be present at the event.

According to the city’s press release, a variety of games for all ages will be put on by Park Division Staff, Park Watch, and other volunteers groups. Other notable activities include a bounce house, dunk tank, watermelon, a drawing for a children’s bicycle, and a special discounted meal hosted by the Dog House Concession stand. The Blaze country radio station will be playing tunes throughout the evening.

Sycamore Pool hours will be extended until 8 p.m. for the event.
