Chico Police Searching for Two Suspects After Overnight Shooting

The Chico police department is searching for two suspects this morning after an overnight shooting.

Officers received a report of shots fired on the 1100 block of Nord Avenue.

Just after 10 last night, police responded to 1114 Nord Avenue, where a single shot was fired.

Witnesses say it began as an altercation between two groups of people in a parking lot.

One group attempted to leave in a green Ford Mustang when two more people chased the car and shot at it.

The two suspects fled the area on foot.

They are described as adult males, one black and the other white, both around six feet tall with a slender build.
