Around 4:30 p.m. Chico Police responded to reports of a robbery at the Bank of America on 4th and Broadway. Police say a suspect slipped a note to a bank teller demanding money.
The suspect claimed to be armed in his note, and was able to make off with an undisclosed amount of money.
The bank was closed for more than 30 minutes as police investigated the scene.
The suspect feld on foot and is still at large.
Chico Police say the suspect is a white or Hispanic male approximately 30 to 40 years old. He was wearing a grey beanie, a long sleeve shirt and glasses.
