Chico Police Search for Armed Robbery Suspect

Chico Police are looking for a suspect who robbed a TJ Maxx around 6:53 p.m. Monday evening on the 2500 block of Notre Dame Blvd.

Police say a Hispanic male with a heavy build walked inside to the clothing store and walked to the clerk and told her he had weapon.

No weapon was seen during the robbery, but the suspect did take off with cash.

The suspect fled the scene in a white vehicle, when police arrived at the scene, officers searched the area and located the vehicle on Raley’s.

Witnesses told police they saw the man get out of the car and into a Ford Thunderbird heading toward Honey Run Road.

Paradise Police did pull over a vehicle on upper Honey Run Road but the store cashier, who was brought to the scene told officers it wasn’t the robber.

The vehicle was reported stolen in Chico earlier, Chico Police Sgt. Scott Ruppel said.

The suspect was last seen wearing a red hat and a tan sweatshirt, anyone with information is asked to call Chico Police at 530-897-4900
