Chico Police have arrested the man who allegedly robbed the downtown Bank of America in April.
Around 4:30 p.m. April 15, Chico Police responded to reports of a robbery at the Bank of America on 4th and Broadway. Police say a suspect slipped a note to a bank teller demanding money.
The suspect claimed to be armed in his note, and was able to make off with an undisclosed amount of money.
The investigation was turned over to the Chico Police Detective Bureau who released a photo of the suspect to the public. Tips from the public led detectives to Frederick Dominguez Jr., of Paradise.
Chico Police enlisted the help of the Paradise Police Department and yesterday they located Dominguez Jr. at a trailer in Paradise. A subsequent search of the trailer turned up further evidence implicating Dominguez in robbery.
Dominguez Jr., was arrested without incident and booked into Butte County Jail. His bail has been set at $50,000.
