Chico Police investigating 4th drive-by shooting

Chico Police are looking for the vehicle involved in a drive-by shooting that happened around 9:40 p.m. Monday at Walnut Grove Apartments on Nord Avenue.

Witnesses told police that 4 shots were fired from a silver Pontiac sedan being driven through the parking lot of the apartment complex. According to Chico Police the car is a late 90's or early 2000's model with tinted windows, and was last seen driving south on Nord.

Police say no vehicles, homes, or people were hit in the shooting.

Officers found four shell casings from a handgun at the scene, but didn't locate the vehicle.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call the Chico Police Department.

This is the 4th drive-by shooting in Chico this month. The other three shootings, believed to be gang-related, happened within a 24 hour period the weekend of April 6th. One man was injured and three people were arrested in connection with at least one of the shootings.
