Chico police say three drunken teenagers were arrested early Tuesday morning after they allegedly vandalized the front of the W. Sacramento Avenue Safeway.

Police were called to the store just after 4 a.m., when employees reported three intoxicated people causing a disturbance.

When employees asked the teens to leave they allegedly became enraged and threw items at the front of the business. A metal garbage can, empty liquor bottles, broken pieces of concrete and shopping carts were used to damage the front doors of the business.

The glass was shattered and the framework to both electric doors was separated from the concrete anchors.

One of the employees was struck with an empty bottle of liquor, but was not injured.

All three alleged vandals fled the scene when police arrived, but were detained a short time later. Two of the teens, ages 14, and 15, were booked into Butte County Juvenile Hall. A third suspect, Cristian Cisneros, 18, was booked into the Butte County Jail on suspicion of felony vandalism, resisting arrest, assault with a deadly weapon, and drunk in public.
