Chico police made more than a dozen arrests during Cesar Chavez day celebrations Tuesday, but say festivities were relatively mild thanks to a low number of out of town visitors.
Police reported 19 arrests Tuesday, the majority of which were public intoxication violations, however there were five felony arrests made.
Only two of the 19 arrested were people from out of town, and only two of the arrests were of Chico State students.
Police say the low number of out of town arrests is typically indicative of an event that is manageable for officers.
