Chico PD: Gang members fire shots at newspaper delivery driver

Chico Police say two suspects fired shots at a man delivering newspapers in the area of Centennial Ave and East 8th Street early Sunday morning.

The 21-year-old victim told police that he was delivering newspapers when the two men drove at him in a 1990's model Honda, they allegedly started yelling at him, saying he was in a gang controlled neighborhood.

The victim drove away in his vehicle, but the suspects reportedly followed firing shots at him.

Chico PD was also contacted late Sunday afternoon by a resident near the intersection of Centennial Ave. who had discovered a bullet hole in their home.

One suspect is described as a 16-20 year-old Hispanic male with a shaved head and a tattoo on his left shoulder, the other suspect also appeared to be a 16-20-year-old Hispanic man with a shaved head.
