If you're looking for some good old fashioned Chico fun, the annual Chico Parade of Lights is this weekend. The parade is held downtown and begins at 7:30pm Saturday. The parade has been held for a quarter of a century. The parade route begins at 3rd Street and Salem to 3rd and Main Street, then to 6th Street and main, and will finish behind Bank of America on 4th Street and Broadway.
There will be more than 70 entries this year, which will make the parade the largest in the past 20 years. Linda Watkins Bennett and I are among the judges. By the way, there is also a car show at 5pm in front of the post office from 5-7pm. I hope to see you out there for the event. It's always a lot of fun!
