A Chico organization who helps homeless youth wants to raise awareness on the issue.

6th Street Center reports more than 200,000 homeless and runaway youth live in California. It also states there’s a lack of support and services for them.

The organization will host “Box City,” an event designed where young people experiencing homelessness can share their stories.

There will be a display of cardboard boxes filled with stories, poems, and facts depicting their experiences.

It will be on Chico State campus at 11 a.m. Thursday.
