A former Chico physician's assistant who plead guilty to one count of rape and three counts of kidnapping last month was sentenced to 26 years in prison today.

Keith accepted a plea deal in exchange for 26 years in prison, rather than the life term he was facing if convicted on all the original charges. He'll be eligible for parole in 2035.

Keith was originally charged for three sexual assaults near the Chico State campus in 2012. He was arrested in January of 2013 when police found bedding, syringes, gloves and nylons inside his car during a traffic stop.

Today in court the victims were given the opportunity to address Keith. Action News Now reporter Jason Atcho was in the courtroom today and he will have the full story tonight on KNVN-24 at 5 p.m.
