Adam Jacob was sentenced to life in prison plus one year for stabbing his mother Donna Teifer to death in September of 2012.
Jacob stabbed Teifer in her Chico home at least 43 times including 18 times in the neck and was found guilty of first degree murder on February 21, 2014.
One of Tiefer’s former co-workers made a statement in court today saying she will never forget her compassionate fashionable friend who loved to skate and hula hoop.
Tiefer and Jacob were in a dispute over a custody battle, and Tiefer was concerned for the safety of her grandson.
Butte County District Attorney Mike Ramsey said Jacob could become eligible for parole after 25 years.
