A handful of Oregon search and rescue teams are looking for a Chico man missing in a remote area of eastern Oregon.

Si Wrigley, 69, left Chico for a fishing trip though Oregon more than two weeks ago, but authorities in Malheur County say Wrigley’s truck and 5th wheel trailer was found stuck on a remote road August 18.

Malheur County Undersheriff Travis Johnson says Wrigely likely tried to hike from his truck to an area with cell phone service, a walk that would be roughly 10 miles through a very rocky area with a lot of canyons.

The last time anyone heard from Wrigley was roughly two weeks ago, when he contacted a friend from a tire shop in Bend, Oregon.

Undersheriff Johnson says search efforts have been suspended, but crews are expected to resume searching Saturday.
